Not just Surviving
Thriving!
Open Heart Surgery is not easy and neither is the recovery. Short of having your head removed and swapped onto another person’s body there is no more invasive procedure. Still, it has become routine and widely practiced. As an OHS survivor I made a promise. I promised if they fixed my heart, I’d fix the rest of me. I changed my diet and changed my mindset. With commitment and discipline things started happening.
I read Jocko Willink and David Goggins. Based on my readings I started to journal. I journaled to help myself heal and recenter. In the process of sharing I discovered my writing was helping others. This is the result.
Craig Walker
MBA
Born just outside Boston, Craig was raised on the Massachusetts North Shore. The son of Korean War Vet and 1st generation Scottish American, and His mother a 2nd generation immigrant through Nova Scotia, he bleeds blue and white.
With an MBA, several patents, and a relentless attitude forged through years of struggle that comes across in his writing, Craig decided he was not going to sit quietly on the couch after heart surgery.
